Festival de Cannes
The Cannes Film Festival has been held in Cannes, located along the French Riviera, since the 1940s to recognise and award international film talent. However, whilst the films are what draw people to this small town every year, the celebrities are the main attraction. Aside from finding out who wins the coveted Palme d’Or, the fashion is what truly grabs people’s attention. The red carpet premiers see the men out in tuxedo’s and the women in ball gowns, whilst the after parties, photocall’s and press opportunities allow for a little more freedom.
P.Diddy (possibly Puff Daddy or Sean Combs- we are a little unsure of his exact name these days) demonstrated that there is more than one way to rock a tuxedo. He mixed up the look by wearing a classic black tux to one event, an elegant white blazer and black trouser combo to another, and finally, an opulent bronze multi-tonal shawl collar blazer. Either way, they all worked and are all great takes on the formal tuxedo. As for the day looks, credit needs to be given to Brad Pitt for dressing down a grey suit by wearing a white crew-neck tee and white lace-ups, whilst Ronan Keating wore a denim inspired blazer with beige chino’s and a white tee- crisp, clean and cool.
