Men’s accessories are difficult to come by. Too often us guys are faced with settling for the basics – a watch, pair of sunnies and maybe a bag. And whilst that’s all well and good, sometimes a piece of jewellery is needed to complete your outfit. Sometimes, simple pieces like a ring, a cuff or a chain are all you need.
And that is where the Annex jewellery line comes in.
Annex has created one of a kind rings which are embedded with real Roman Coins that have been individually sourced from around the world. The coins themselves range from 2000-3000 years old and are set in solid sterling silver. Depending on your individual style, they come in a few different forms. Some are set in a claw whilst others are embedded into the band of the ring, and both come in ’blackened’ oxidised silver or a high polish,
which provides a nice contrast to the antiquity of the coins.
For those of you who aren’t really into rings (though when they are this cool, we don’t see how you can’t be!), we also have a few other pieces that might interest you. We have solid sterling silver cuffs which come in two different widths, a slim line one and a chunkier style. They are simple, cool and can compliment any look. They also match our chains which are sterling silver, come in a variety of lengths and can also be purchased in either an oxidised finish or high polish. Best of all- they can be customised!
All the products are in store now, so come in and purchase your jewellery needs at The Annex.

The 2nd drop of the Autumn Winter Mere Footwear Collection has just arrived into the store. Mere Footwear is an Australian label designed by the talented James Noakes, a manly boy, who is very experienced in the Footwear Industry. Mere Footwear is a twist on more classic style shapes, with beautiful leathers and finishes used. This collection named Through The Trees uses deep autumn colours, such as brown sap and rust. There is a selection of high top shapes, low cut lace-ups and brogues. The best thing about this label is they look amazing but are so comfortable to wear. Once you buy a pair of these you will literally live in them. Drop instore or jump onto our online store to get your pair! www.TheAnnex.com.au
Van She is an electropop group that originated in Sydney back in 2005. After releasing their first self-titled EP, band members Nick Routledge, Matt Van Schie, Michael Di Francesco and Tomek Archer all went on to pursue careers outside of the group. Van Schie explored a solo career; while Archer started his own design and production company, and Di Francesco began remixing songs under the alias ‘Arithmatix!’ However, the band is back with a new album, also the title of their first single- The Idea of Happiness. Enigmatic and uplifting, the song, like the group, has an energy that spills forth and ignites the crowd. Above all, the song is Van She’s representation of happiness- it is easy and effortless, cool and quirky, relaxing and elevating. The clip too is worth noting. It revolves around a party of some sort and makes almost no sense. However, it is fun and playful, much like Van She themselves.
They are definitely a must see, so head on down to Beach Road Hotel at Bondi tomorrow night (Anzac Day)
to check them out.
Denim has always had its place in fashion. In the 70s we saw it flaired and paired back with printed shirts, and the 90s saw layered denim on denim. Levi’s and Calvin Klein both helped pioneer denim as a necessity, but brands such as Chronicles of Never and Annex have revitalised it and put their own spin on the trans-seasonal staple. This season, we see denim re-emerging as a key fashion piece, with denim shirts being an absolute must have. It is really easy to wear- simply layer it. Throw it over a t-shirt with a pair of chinos, or for the more adventurous, wear it layered over jeans and under a denim jacket (we recommend using different shades of denim to do this). However you choose to wear it, just make sure you have a denim shirt in your wardrobe this season. Check out the range in store.
Every guy wants to leave the house being as comfortable as possible, yet tracksuit pants aren’t exactly cool, nor do they look particularly nice. However, maybe this season’s relaxed yet tailored trousers are the perfect compromise. We’ve seen them on the runways overseas thanks to the likes of Assembly and Alexander Wang, and now we are seeing them hit our shores. Drop crotches and tapered ankles are key to these pants, but it is the range of fabrics that we are seeing them in that makes them truly comfortable. They come in everything from cotton to jersey, as well as a range of colours, and when paired back with a pair of military boots, they simply look cool. Throw on an oversized tee, cropped leather jacket and a beanie, and you’re ready for winter. Come check out our range in store at Annex.
